Have you ever had one of those moments when a preacher or person says something that just…floored you?
You know what I am talking about? Just a one-liner or challenging saying that just hits you right in the gut?
When was the last time this happened to you?
Let’s talk about it…!
Received a testimony over of a Kenyan boy who has grown up through Compassion’s child sponsorship program… His mother, on learning the news that he had been sponsored “God has heard my prayer”. I cannot imagine, as a parent, being in that situation. What a life changing event for him and his family.
gosh, how powerful. thank God for that sponsor!
He has had multiple sponsors over the years. Thank the Lord for them all! We posted his testimony here as an encouragement to get people to sponsor kids through Compassion: http://www.harvestloop.com/a-compassion-success-story/
Awesome I am checking it out now. Thanks for sharing!
There isn’t a one-liner, but this video has a series of one-liners that have influenced me. This isn’t the original video, but it has some of the main points made in it and then a reaction to the video and an explanation of some stuff from the speaker, Eric Thomas..
oh wow. I will have to check that video out!
Some “gut checks” exist so far outside traditional Christian thought that they’re best not shared. Nevertheless, it’s comforting to know that I can still go to Sunday school and occasionally be pleasantly surprised.
What do you mean by that first part? I am confused. Traditional Christian Thought would say that ‘gut checks’ or conviction of the spirit are absolutely needed for growth and maturity in Christ.
